Tracking Ruegen's nature
Enlarge In the near vicinity of Goehren or in the southeast of the Island of Ruegen there's a great network of bicycle lanes. By bike you can go in different directions every day for discovering and experiencing all the beauty of this vast swathe of land.
Cycle towards Middelhagen, Thiessow and Gager, mostly along the coastline. Through the coastal forest you reach the small villages on the peninsula of Moenchgut. While taking a break there, you are only a few metres from the Baltic Sea.
Another tour will lead you towards Baabe and Sellin, through the Granitz forest to Binz. At Baabe you are able to experience Germany's smallest ferry. Between Baabe and Moritzdorf the ferryman Strandmann will take you from A to B on his row-boat.
